Mostar, 16 September 2026 – The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) is strengthening its longstanding partnership with OTP Leasing Ukraine through a new EUR 30 million facility aimed at expanding access to finance for Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The financing will support business investments in sectors critical to Ukraine’s economic recovery and resilience, including agriculture, transport, and other productive industries.

EFSE has been a trusted partner of OTP Leasing Ukraine since 2019, supporting efforts to improve access to finance for Ukrainian businesses operating in an exceptionally challenging environment. The new facility will enable SMEs to invest in equipment and productive assets needed to maintain operations, improve competitiveness, and continue contributing to economic activity despite ongoing disruptions caused by the war.

By facilitating investments in agriculture, transport, and related industries, the facility is expected to help enterprises strengthen their operational capacity and support broader economic recovery efforts.

The financing is complemented by dedicated grant support designed to help war-affected SMEs restore productive assets, strengthen business resilience, and continue investing despite difficult market conditions. By combining financing with targeted grants, EFSE and OTP Leasing Ukraine aim to help businesses overcome investment barriers and pursue long-term growth and recovery.

Jasminka Berget Portfolio Manager of EFSE at Finance in Motion stated: "For many Ukrainian businesses, investing in productive assets remains essential not only for growth, but also for maintaining operations and adapting to unprecedented challenges. Leasing finance can play a particularly important role in enabling companies to acquire the equipment and machinery they need without delaying critical investments. Through our continued partnership with OTP Leasing Ukraine, we are helping businesses strengthen their resilience, preserve economic activity, and contribute to Ukraine’s recovery.”

Yanina Gorenko, First Deputy CEO of OTP Leasing Ukraine, said: "Our partnership with EFSE since 2019 has been a reliable foundation for developing leasing finance in Ukraine. The new EUR 30 million will support investments in agriculture, transport, and other key sectors, allowing businesses to upgrade equipment and maintain competitiveness despite the challenges of war. Combining financing with grant support makes this assistance especially valuable for the most affected enterprises."
